While on the hunt for planners made in Australia (which seem to be a rare find!) I stumbled across the Lorna Leigh Lane Planner. As soon as I saw the rainbow weekly spread I knew I had to get my hands on the planner! Loloma (the creator of the planner, was super nice and sent me a copy of the planner to review (and use in 2018!) As always, all opinions are my own.

The Cover
The cover is very sturdy with gold binding and gold foil detailing for the year printed on the front cover.
Dates at a glance pages
Dates at a glance pages for 2018 and 2019. The rainbow colors are continued throughout the entire planner 🙂
Yearly planner
Not many planners includes yearly planners like this. I wish more would as they’re ideal for tracking birthdays, your monthly cycle, cleaning tasks, etc.
Monthly Calendar
The 2 page monthly calendar also starts on a Monday (same as the weekly spread – many planners, for whatever reason, don’t keep the days consistent).
Rather than re-starting the dates on a new row, the calendar adds an extra row and shrinks the size of each day’s planning box. Better than splitting boxes in half but I still think it would be more practical to just re-start the numbering on the top row of the calendar.
Weekly Spread
The 2 page vertical style weekly spread starts on a Monday with a different color for each day. Each day has a scheduling section from 7am to 7pm plus a my tasks and meal planning space. I’m going to use the smaller box at the top of the column for top 3 tasks, it would also be ideal for birthday’s, exams and flagging any bills or other things that are due.
The scheduling space is quite narrow for each day but I like that the task space is large – you could have 2 line tasks.
The sidebar is also lined. The my calls section is too big for my needs but could be whited out using correction tape and replaced with a title sticker for cleaning tasks, blog to do;s etc.
Pocket folder
Tabs
The planner has colorful tabs for each month which are laminated cardstock.
The cover extends over the tabs so they don’t get damaged.
Pen Test
I tried various ballpoint, gel pens, needle tip, fine tip, highlighters and stamps. Only the MAMBI stamp bled through the page (seems to bleed through every planner) – there was some minor ghosting of some of the pens.
Pros of the Lorna Leigh Lane Weekly Planner
- Colorful and gold accents!
- Pocket folder
- Comes in a pretty box (it’s not very high so it’s going to be perfect for storing planner pens, highlighters etc.)
- Lined notes pages at the back of the planner have an empty title box – perfect for list making
- Functional weekly layout
- Sturdy hardcover
- The weekly and monthly spreads are consistent – both start on a Monday
- Ships to Australia and internationally
Cons of the Lorna Leigh Lane Weekly Planner
- The scheduling space in the daily spread is quite narrow
- Schedule is 7am to 7pm – if you’re a night owl like me these hours may not suit you
- The planner is on the pricey side at $58 AUD plus shipping

I love this planner! I wish they had a version set up for the states. I may see if we can get them here anyway.
I have the 2018 EC but there is always next year.
