While this planner is dated from 2018 to 2019 they release new planners each year on Amazon (affiliate link) in the same layouts with the same covers.
The Cover
The cover is sturdy chipboard with the rainbow stripe printed directly on it. Feels really sturdy but also makes the planner light.
Approx 0.75″ thick
There is a snap in bookmark but it just feels like smooth cardstock so I don’t think it will hold up after a year of being pulled in and out of the planner.
Monthly Calendar
Week starts on Sunday which is not consistent with the weekly spread that starts on Monday.
There are no split boxes when the month ends mid-week, however a 6th row is added which reduces the lined writing space. It would make much more sense to just re-start the numbering on the top row in the empty boxes.
This is a USA planner so has USA holidays pre-printed.
Weekly Planner
Starts on Monday (not consistent with the monthly calendar).
Plenty of lined writing space with top 3 priorities for the week.
All of the weekly spreads have the same teal color
Quotes printed throughout.
And a few lined notes pages at the back
Tabs
The tabs have the month printed at one end so you can see all of the months at once!
Pros of the Planner
- Portable size
- Lightweight
- Functional weekly spread
- Tabs
- Affordable
Cons of the Planner
- No monthly planning or extra pages
- The color used throughout is nice, but could get boring after a while
- The snap in bookmark is thin cardstock
- 6th row on the monthly calendar instead of re-numbering on the top row
Would I use this planner?
No. A bit too plain and simple for my liking. I like the teal color but not sure I want that color on every page in the planner – especially if I did themed color spreads. This is a good basic, lightweight horizontal planner if you want something simple and with no extras.
