I also purchased a personalised planner from this same company. Review will be posted soon!
The Cover
I much prefer this style of cover where the design is printed onto cardstock and then there’s a clear plastic protective cover. I find these types of covers hold up much better than laminate.
You can personalise the cover with your choice of text (doesn’t cost extra).
I really like this simple watercolor / paint stroke cover – I had a hard time choosing a color! There were plenty of other cover designs to choose from (mainly stripes and floral designs)
Approx 0.5″ thick
At the front of the notebook there are no pre-printed index pages, future log etc. – it just goes straight into the dot grid pages.
Unfortunately they don’t have page numbers 🙁 The pages are bright white though
5mm dot grid spacing
At the back is a single-sided pocket folder
Pen Testing
The paper is very smooth and nice to write on, but…
… Everything has ghosting. If you’re going to use this notebook, I’d stick to ballpoint pens or erasable pens – they had the least show through.
Pros of the Notebook
- Pretty cover designs to choose from (and free personalisation with your name or other text)
- Coil binding
- Paper is smooth to write on
- Larger than most dot grid notebooks
- Pocket folder
Cons of the Notebook
- Paper is thin – prone to ghosting & bleed through
- No page numbers
- No index, future log or any pre-printed pages for bullet journaling
Would I use this notebook?
Yes. It has a pretty cover, I like the coil binding and the larger than sewn bound notebooks page size.
How does it compare to the numerous other coil bound dot grid notebooks I’ve reviewed? To be honest, not much – a pretty cover but the paper is too thin. For whatever reason, most of the coil bound dot grid notebooks I come across don’t have page numbers either.
