If you follow my blog, you may have picked up on the fact that I’m not a fan of typical dot grid notebooks. So while on the quest for something different I stumbled across the Siwengde notebook. Not only is it bigger than most dot grid notebooks but it’s also teal i.e. a color other than black (yay!)
Quick facts
- Page size 7.5″ wide x 9.75″ high
- Dot grid pags
- Half lined pages
- 1 ribbon bookmark
- Softcover / hardcover material
- Sewn binding
- Elastic band
- Cream paper
- Pocket folder
- This belongs to page

Cover
The cover is that material you find on most sewn notebooks – hardcover but feels soft.
<3 this color (and it’s not boring black!)
Approx 1.5″ wide (2cm). It is a bit heavier than the smaller dot grid notebooks but still light enough that you could put the notebook in your handbag,
Different to most notebooks: it has dot grid on the left and lined on the right
The dots are approx 0.5cm apart.
The lines are approx 1cm apart.
Big pocket folder at the back
As well as a ribbon bookmark
Pen Testing
The paper quality is typical of dot grid notebooks – ghosting for basically all of the gel pens, fine tip pens, highlighters and stamps.
Pros of the Siwengde
- Larger page size
- Cream paper not yellow
- Dot grid and lined pages
- Cover that’s not black!
Cons of the Siwengde
- Line spacing is too far apart
- Only 1 ribbon bookmark
- Pen ghosting

How is this different than a Leuchtturm? They look exactly the same.

Hi, there is a video walkthrough in the post ^above^ Half the pages are dot grid and half are lined. The Siwengde has a larger page size than the Leuchtturm.
