How to spend half a day in Innsbruck, Austria!

A pit stop from Salzburg to St Moritz, I wish I’d been able to spend more than a couple of hours in Innsbruck! A common pitstop on organized tours (the one I did was with Globus), here’s how to make the most of your time in Innsbruck!

Climb city tower for a stunning view

I nearly didn’t do this because it was nearly time to get back to the bus. It was probably best that I left this until last as I basically ran up the winding staircase in just a few minutes and was too excited by the view to feel winded. Definitely worth the climb for this stunning view. You can walk 360 around the top for stunning views in all directions.

Have more time?

If I’d had more time I would’ve loved to:

  1. Walk along the waterfront and get better photos of that adorable row of colored buildings

2. Visit the Imperial Palace

3. Visit the Court Church

4. The Imperial Gardens
