I previously shared a tutorial on how to create a banner for your Etsy shop. In this post I’m teaching how to make a logo for your Etsy shop which you can use for your shop’s profile/icon picture (and can also be uploaded to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and any other social media platforms you use!)
What should you put in your logo? I recommend:
- Shop name/Business Name
- Brand Colors
- Font style that matches your brand (and which is easy to read. Avoid cursive or heavily italicized fonts when it comes to shop branding)
Keep your logo simple, and remember to make sure the font is large enough to read if someone is quickly glancing at it. If you’ve already watched (and completed) the tutorial on how to make an Etsy shop banner you’ve already done half the work 🙂 All you need to do is create a ‘condensed’ version of your shop banner.
For example, this is my Etsy shop banner and profile picture:
See how similar they are?
I use the same rainbow pattern, black banner, same font style and same layout (just in a square instead of rectangle version).
So if you want to make a logo for your Etsy shop, here’s how:
You’ll need Photoshop, if you don’t have it already, you can download it here.
When you’re ready to upload it to your Etsy shop, navigate to the ‘Info and Appearance’ menu and click the ‘upload your shop icon’ button

It includes over 50 mistakes Etsy sellers make with step by step-tutorials and detailed advice on how to avoid making these common mistakes (and how to amended them if you’re already making them) as well as strategies I’ve developed that have grown my Etsy shop, and which you can implement in your own Etsy shop.
