MAMBI Mini Happy Planner Review (pros, cons, should you buy it?)

The Mini Happy Planner measures about 5.25″ wide x 7.5″ high. The inside pages are about 4.75″ wide x 7″ high.

Pros of the Mini Happy Planner
- Great size for your purse or handbag
- Lined writing space
- Lots of pretty covers to choose from
- Discbound system – discbound planners are my favorite type – love the flexibility they offer with the ability to add and remove pages as you please. The happy planner punch is the most affordable of all the discbound planner systems
- Affordable – planners seem to keep getting expensive these days which is most likely one of the reasons the Happy Planner is so popular – it’s super affordable
- Weekend boxes are shaded in the monthly calendar
- Pattern is printed on the front and inside of the back and front cover
- Laminated front and back cover, as well as tabs
- The laminated cover feels fairly durable, as long as you didn’t throw it around too much
Cons of the Mini Happy Planner
- It will fill up quickly – it’s ideal if you don’t have much to plan but there probably wouldn’t be enough space if, for example, you’re planning your day and your family’s
- The weeks start on a Monday but the monthly calendar start on a Sunday
- The monthly planning page doesn’t leave much room to plan – the font size is basically the same as the larger Happy Planner sizes
- One thing to note is that unlike some calendars that move the last day/s of the month to the top row of the calendar, the Happy Planner splits one of the bottom boxes. This is one of my all time hates with calendars – if you also can’t stand calendars that do this (I can’t understand the logic – you can’t write anything in the half triangle!) then what I do is whiteout the line and date and re-write it on the top row of the calendar
- Other than a notes page and the monthly planning space, there aren’t any extras pages such as password logs, additional notes pages etc. although you can add your own printables using the MAMBI discbound punch. I shared a tutorial on How to print printables at MAMBI Happy Planner Size

- 2 page spread with the month starting on a Sunday (this doesn’t really make sense to me since the week’s start on a Monday)
- Lined notes sidebar
