It’s almost back to school time here in Australia! If you’re a teacher on the hunt for a planner, or someone that needs lots of space and multiple sections to plan each day, a teacher planner may be the right fit for you!

Bloom put out a teacher planner in 2017 which was nice (review is in this post), but the latest version is so much better! The cover styles are prettier and the colors throughout the planner are so nice.
The Cover
The cover is a thin glossy cardstock with a frosted cover over the top to protect it from wear and tear.
Extra Pages
At the front of the planner are teaching specific planning pages including:
- 1 Personal Info Page
- 1 How to Use Your Planner page
- 1 Info for the Sub Page
- 2 Student Information Pages
- 2 Call Home Logs
- 2 Graph Paper Pages
- Important Dates / Annual planning
The spiral binding is gold (love!) and lets the planner lay flat / fold back on itself
Gradebook
In a few different colors!
Important Dates / Annual Planning
Monthly Planning
Love the list style format of the monthly planning pages.
Each monthly divider features a different quote.
Monthly Calendar
Each month has 2 pages and is undated. The monthly calendar starts on a Sunday.
Each month features a different pattern and colors – February is my favorite!
The monthly calendars coordinate with the tabs and the monthly planning / review pages.
Success / motivational quotes on each monthly calendar
At the end of each month is a month in review page.
Weekly Planner
The planner is undated so you can start planning anytime. While the planner is intended as a teacher planner you could use the planner for work or general life planning – the weekly spread doesn’t have anything teacher specific.
If you’re like me and prefer more space on a weekend you could use this planner for the weekdays then a day to a page planner or printables for weekend planning (or just work off a to do list for the weekend).

OR use header stickers (tutorial on how to make them in this post) to cover up the daily planning labels and write the days of the week in the white margin on the left side or in the yellow section i.e. have 5 planning categories for each day.
Nice and colorful!
The yellow shaded boxes can be used for subjects or you could use it for a most important daily task section, exercise, favorite memory of that day, grateful for etc.

Tabs
The laminated cardstock tabs are large with big font in an easy to read font style.
Pros of the Bloom Teacher Planner
- Colorful!
- Undated so you can start planning anytime
- Large page size so there’s plenty of room to write
- More than enough weekly planning pages for an entire year
- Large tabs with easy to read font
- Light considering it’s size – doesn’t weigh much more than a normal notebook
- Lay flat binding
Cons of the Bloom Teacher Planner
- No weekend planning space – the weekly spread is only for weekdays
- Large page size means it’s a bit bulky – you’ll need a big bag if you want to carry this around with you
Would I use this planner?
I converted the Erin Condren Teacher Planner into a weekly planner for the 52 Planners in 52 Weeks challenge and it worked really well! I’m thinking about giving this planner a go but I have a few others on my list to try first!
The Bloom Teacher Planner would make a really good gift for a teacher friend 🙂
