Printable Cleaning Planner You Can Edit in Canva (and a free Weekly Cleaning Checklist)

I moved from an apartment into a townhouse last year. I knew there would be extra cleaning involved but I underestimated how much extra cleaning would be required for the extra space. A few months later I’m noticing things like dusty cornices and ceiling fans, expired pantry items, when was the last time I cleaned the shower tub in the second bathroom, swept the garage etc. So I created some cleaning zone checklists.

But then I got really busy at my day job and became very time poor. I work from home a lot so try and do some cleaning in my lunch break, so I created some speed cleaning checklists as well.

I had lived in the same apartment for over 10 years. I didn’t sort anything before I moved, just piled everything into the closets and the garage when I moved in. So then I created decluttering checklists to try and and finally once and for all deal deal with the stuff I had accumulated without getting overwhelmed.

Then after that I kept creating extra pages to experiment with, until I found a cleaning routine that works for me, which ended up evolving into a full suite of cleaning planners.

You probably won’t need them all but with the variety of templates you can pick and chose what works for you.

My current routine looks like a combination of this:

• Monthly decluttering checklists
• Cleaning checklists by zone (I prefer to clean by zone rather than doing things on set days)
• Time based checklists (there are checklists for speed cleaning and when you only have 30 minutes)
• Checklists by energy level (low energy, medium energy and high energy)
• Annual cleaning checklist (for those often forgotten tasks)

I like rainbow and used to hate pastel. But the past year or so I’ve noticed I gravitate the most to the Stabilo Boss pastel highlighters. So I decided to create a pastel version of my favorite rainbow theme you’ve probably seen on some of my past printables. And… I actually didn’t mind the colors! They coordinate quite well with the Stabilo highlighters when I mark things off the checklists 🙂

I made a grey / ink friendly version as well as the rainbow theme. Both color versions are included.

The templates are not just printables, they’re the original Canva file templates. Yep, you can make a copy of the template then edit any / all of the existing text. You can even change the colors and font if you don’t like the style I’ve chosen.

And yes there are Sunday and Monday start versions for all of the relevant pages as well as blank + prefilled versions.
