If you’re not into bright, cute and colorful planners and want something a little more professional, or are trying to convince the man in your life that they need a planner, here are a few gender neutral options.
All have black covers and black / grey printing on the inside.
1. Panda Planner Weekly
One of the biggest problems I find with neutral planners that could be used by men and women, are that they tend to be too simple. Hence why the Panda Planner makes it to this list. It has both weekly and daily spreads which are very well thought out. The sections are versatile enough to customise to your liking. See how I converted the daily version into a weekly planner in this post.
QUICK FACTS
- Size: approx 5.25″ wide x 8.5″ high
- Bookbound / sewn binding
- Faux leather cover (no personalisation option however there are a few different colors to choose from)
- This belongs to page in case your planner is lost
- Neutral inside pages
- Undated (enough to plan 90 days)
- 2 pages to plan each day
- Weekly planner (no days of the week)
- 2 Page monthly calendar (starts on Sunday)
- 3 ribbon page markers

3. Clever Fox Weekly
While I chose pink, this planner also comes in black.
Quick Facts:
- Size: 5.75″ wide x 8.5″ high
- Bookbinding
- Hardcover
- This belongs to page in case your planner is lost
- Dates at a glance
- Neutral color scheme
- 2 page weekly spread (starts on Monday)
- 2 Page monthly calendar (starts on Sunday)
- Undated
- No Tabs
The major pro of this planner is that it’s the only stitched bound planner I’ve found that has bright white paper and also isn’t prone to ghosting and pen ink bleed through.

4. Moleskine
It doesn’t get much more gender neutral / professional looking than the Moleskine notebooks. Available in multiple sizes, weekly spreads and colors.
Just note that the paper quality isn’t that great in Moleskine planners (and also has a yellow tinge).
Quick Facts:
- Size: various sizes available
- Week on 2 pages, week starts Monday (days of the week on the left and lined page on the right)
- Variety of cover colors to choose from
- Hardcover or softcover
- Rounded corners to prevent wear and tear
- Elastic closure
- 70 GSM paper weight
- Ivory-colored paper
- Annual dates at a glance page
- Pocket folder at the back
- 3 mini sheets of icon stickers
- Extras pages
- Time zones
- International measurements
- dialing codes
- Flight duration
See my full review of the planner (including video) in this post.
A similar planner is the Leuchtturm weekly planner (with slightly better paper quality).
5. Planner Pad
This is one of those planners that has a really unique layout – a cross between vertical, hourly schedule and list making.
- Undated
- 52 weeks of Planning
- Executive size – 8 ½” x 11″
- Daily schedule 7am to 9pm
See my trial of the Planner Pad in this post.
The only con of this planner is that while it fits a lot on the page, it does make the line spacing very small. The schedule is hourly and there isn’t much room to write.

6. Nomatic Planner
A vertical hourly layout in a smaller page size than most vertical hourly planners. Plus, rather than the entire height of the page being hourly there’s project / goals space underneath and a big notes section.

- goal mapping
- Checklists
- effectiveness activities
- whiteboard paper
- back pocket
- integrated pen holder
- dual elastics
- fill-in the date calendar
- Undated
