Thin washi tape has so many uses for planning: dividing the page, color coding, underlining titles etc. To me, thin washi is around 5mm or 0.25″ wide or less. These are my favorites!

1. Illustrated Faith
This is my favorite sold thin washi – such pretty rainbow colors! I just wish there was a red instead of so many shades of pink.
This washi is 3mm wide.
2. Happy Planner
If you want skinny washi tape with different patterns, the Happy Planner skinny washi is my favorite.
This washi is also about 3mm wide.
3. Unbranded
There are plenty of random thin washi tape that aren’t from well-known brands including rainbow, foiled and glitter.
This 3mm wide washi comes in a set of 20 for less than $1 per roll. I also have the 5mm wide set.
4. Park Lane Paperie
Rainbow in multiple patterns – what’s not to like?! Park Lane Paperie do solid color packs too (e.g. a pack of 5 washi tapes in different shades of pink).
At about 0.25″ wide, I mainly use this washi tape for dividing up a page. This brand also does ‘micro’ washi (3mm wide).
MT washi tape has plenty of options but I’m not really a fan of the color themes (they’re a bit random and uncoordinated in their packs). Plus the tape is overpriced compared to cheaper Asian exports (which work fine / are just as sticky as well known branded washi).
There are plenty of other skinny washi tape brands that I’m sure I’m yet to discover – please comment below if you have favorites that aren’t on this list!

This brand reminds me of the Recollections – there’s plenty of accessories, themed stickers books (with lots of functional stickers) and some really nice washi including this set
6. Sunshine Sticker Co
If you want some washi tape with days of the week that is thin enough to fit a 5mm dot grid, then Sunshine Sticker Co is my favorite

I like the look of the thin washi tape. I have never used it, and when I’ve used the wider tape, I never like it. I’ve been using a dot grid planner for about a year and a half, and I am done with it, lol. Its just too much work when you have a lot to do, in my opinion. 😀 I’ve been reading your critiques and suggestions, and I see that washi tape can help me personalize a planner in a short amount of time. I’m going planner shopping today – so, wish me luck!
