Pastel Planner supplies (pens, highlighters, washi tape, planner stickers, dot markers etc.)
I’m not usually one for pastel colors (I gravitate more towards bright colors) but if you do like planning with pastel colors and you’re searching for some new supplies, I’ve put together this list which might help you discover some new brands to choose from.

Pastel Highlighters
- Stabilo Boss pastel (set of 6 of set of 15)
- Staedtler Textsurfer pastel (set of 6 or set of 10)
- Staedtler Triplus Textsurfer Pastel Highlighters – while these are marketed as highlighters, to me they’re more like a marker pen. If you turn them on an angle then they can also be used as highlighters. They come in a set of 6 or a set of 10. I have the bright colors and they’ve lasted for more than 8 years without drying out or losing the sharpness of the colors
- Zebra Mildliners (Fluorescent colors) or you can buy the jumbo pack of 33 different colors and pick and choose your own pastel color schemes
- Pilot frixion erasable – I only recommend the light natural colors, not the soft colors (they’re too light).
- Stabilo swing cool (set of 6 or set of 8)

Pastel Planner stickers
- Carpe Diem – Simple Stories A5 Sticker Book – Color Vibe Alpha – Spring
- Happy Planner – pastel rainbow – classic size, #631
- Happy Planner – Pastel tropics #560
- Happy Planner mega sticker pack – pastel rainbow
- Happy Cloud Inc (Australian shop)
- pmd stickers (Australian shop)
- KHD Stickers
- Planner Kate
- Steph Pase (Australian shop)
Happy Planner stickers sometimes also have pastel stickers interspersed throughout the ‘basic’ sticker books like the colorful boxes

Pastel Pens
- Zebra clickart ‘calm’ colors
- Sakura Jelly Roll (Moonlight colors)
- Zebra Sarasa Clip 0.5mm
- Pilot Juice Up 0.4mm – I don’t recommend these pens if you write on an angle like I do, the needle tip is scratchy and I found the ink prone to skipping. The tip is also only 0.4mm which is too small for my liking
- Pilot G2 0.7mm – there’s also this pack that has a white pen instead of black, if you want to use a blackout notebook
- Pilot Juice Gel 0.5mm
- PaperMate Flair
- Peter Pauper Press
I found the Zebra clickart pens in Japan. Like the Zebra mildliners, these are great quality pens with zero ink skipping and some unique colors you won’t find offered by other pen brands. I have the bright rainbow colors but the pastel colors look good too!

Pastel Dot Markers
- Kuretake Zig Clean Color Dot Pens ‘Mild Colors’ – just note that these aren’t dual tip like some of the Zig dot markers. The ‘single’ on the pen means there’s only a dot marker end, no pen end that you can write with

Pastel Washi Tape
- Happy Planner pastel skinny washi tape
- This 20 pack of thin rainbow washi tapes has some pastel colors. It comes in 3mm and 5mm
- YUBBAEX Natural Color Washi Tape Set 30 Rolls – These are crazy cheap at only $10 for a set of 30 different colors. There’s only 3M on each roll though
- Studio light ‘blissful’ washi tapes (set of 8 colors)

Pastel brush pens
- Zebra Mildiner (fluorescent colors)
- BIC Intensity Dual Tip – Fine Tip (0.7 mm) with Flexible Brush Nib
- Tombow dual brush pens
Pastel dot grid notebooks
- Leuchtturm (although I don’t recommend these as the paper quality is terrible, see my pen test in this post)
- Buke stationery pastel purple cover – the paper is 180GSM which is the thickest paper I’ve ever found and has zero ghosting or bleed through for pens, highlighters etc. If you don’t believe me, I did a pen test in this post
- Clever Fox (2.0 version) – perhaps not what most people would call pastel but for someone like me that doesn’t really do pastel colors, I consider their rose gold option to be pastel
- Scribbles That Matter – A5 pastel pink 160GSM paper, B5 pastel pink 160 GSM paper
- Midori A5 size dot grid ring bound
- Paperage dotted notebook (they have sewn bound and spiral bound options)
Tip: when shopping for dot grid notebooks, choose 160GSM paper if you don’t want any ghosting or bleed through for pens, highlighters etc. If you’re looking for a more budget friendly option 120GSM paper will have some ghosting but is still much better than 100GSM paper.

Pastel discbound notebooks & accessories
- Tahlia discbound pastel tabbed dividers
- Fuutreo 8 Set Discbound Notebook Cover and Disc Set 8.5 X11.75 (pair it with your choice of refill paper or printables to create a custom notebook or planner)
- Glenmal 4 Sets 8.5 x 11 Inches Bound Notebook Customizable Notebook
- Pastel discbound tabbed dividers (brand: Dispowreath)
- Tahlia pastel discs
- Maggie Holmes day to day discs

Even though stationery products have different brand names, I think some of them come from the same factories. I’ve purchased quite a few products over the years that have had eerily similar colors and style despite being labelled as different brands (highlighters and pens in particular). So don’t get hung up on exact color matches, if you mix and match the colors will probably end up the same (or very close).

Discbound is still my favorite type of notebook – so quick and easy to customise.

Pastel sticky notes
I only use Post it Note 3M sticky notes these days, and surprisingly they don’t have many pastel options. I could only find these 3 x 3″ ‘Bali collection‘ and ‘beachside cafe collection‘ sets on Amazon.
There are plenty of other sticky note options, but I can’t tell you if they’re sticky or not. If they aren’t super sticky, you could always use them with some washi tape. This set by MIUTME has some nice pastel colors and over 4200 reviews with a 4.5 star rating.

Happy shopping!
