Planner Kate versus KHDStickers: Which brand has better planner stickers?
You all know my favorite type of planner stickers are rainbow functional stickers and two planner sticker shops that are well known for these types of stickers are Planner Kate and KHDStickers. I’ve used stickers from both shops… so let’s see which sticker shop is better.
Planner Kate versus KHDStickers
I purchased from both of these sticker stores using my own money. All opinions in this post are my own.
Range of stickers
Both sticker shops have more than 1,000 stickers to choose from!
Since the easiest way to check how many stickers they have is to check their Etsy shop listing count, at the time of writing this post PlannerKate has 3,700 listings while KHDStickers has 1,100 listings.
Both shops offer mostly functional planner stickers, with stickers for:
- Days of the week, months of the year and dates for undated calendars
- Icon stickers
- Colorful label boxes
- Symbols
- Custom text labels
KHDStickers doesn’t have as many icons or shape stickers (that I use for list making) compared to PlannerKate.

PlannerKate also has far more phrases stickers (things like recycling, swimming lessons, pedicure etc.). She has custom text stickers but I could only find them on her website, not in her Etsy shop.

Winner: PlannerKate
Range of sticker kits & compatibility with planner brands
Planner Kate has daily weekly, monthly and notes page sticker kits. She also has sticker kits specifically designed for Erin Condren, Plum Paper, Happy Planner, MaskeLife, Laurel Denise and Hobonichi.
KHDStickers only have a few kits for weekly spreads (mostly for the Hobonichi and the Lime and Mortar Planner).
Winner: Planner Kate
Calendar stickers
Days of the week, months of the year, date stickers. Basically all the stickers you’d need for setting up an undated planner or a bullet journal.

Both brands have sufficient options that you could set up an entire undated planner via an order from just one of the shops, however PlannerKate does offer more options for box labels.

Color Ranges
Planner Kate has 8 different colorways including her signature rainbow, as well as the EC and Plum Paper colors.
Planner Kate’s stickers have a bit more subdued colors whereas KHD stickers are bright rainbow. So it also depends on personal preference.

KHD Stickers allow you to choose from 4 different multi-colored color-ways, and you can also order an entire sticker sheet in just one color. There’s a good variety of neutral, bright rainbow and pastel colors to choose from.

Winner: Tie
Custom Stickers
By custom I mean customisation of a template (e.g. you choose the text you would like), not asking for something completely new to be made from scratch.
KHD Stickers offers custom sticker sheets starting from $6.50 AUD.
Planner Kate offers custom sticker sheets starting from $7.50 USD / $11.40 AUD
Winner: KHD Stickers – much cheaper!

Printing Quality
Both brands produce high quality stickers. No random black flecks or smudges on the stickers.

Peel and Stick & accuracy of cut lines
Both allow an even amount of white space around the shape and text on each of the sticker designs.
Both had accurate cut lines with no slipping, no ‘dud’ stickers on the sheet and stickers from both brands peel off smoothly.

Paper quality & options
The sticker paper of both brands feels very soft. It’s a close call but I’d say the KHD stickers are the smoothest of the two brands.
KHD stickers are vinyl and most are repositionable (not all though, be sure to check the item descriptions). The stickers are easy to write on.
Planner Kate are matte (can also easily write on them) with most repositionable.
They each offer transparent stickers.

KHDStickers’ transparent stickers

Winner: Tie. Plus they both offer a range of transparent stickers that are easy to peel off the sticker sheet
User friendly website
There are more categories on the Planner Kate website and it was faster to find what I was looking for. Categories are broken down into color schemes, compatible planners (and page sizes) as well as by type of sticker.
On the KHDStickers website things are a bit buried, make sure you check all of the shop categories. I was looking for checkbox stickers and these were under ‘flags and symbols’. I note the website has been updated since I ordered, and is now easier to navigate.

Price Range
Sticker sheets vary in size between brands so the price varies too. Pricing for a sheet of text stickers:
Pricing for KHD Stickers:
- Tiny: 8.5cm x 6cm = $3 AUD
- Small: 12.1cm x 8.5cm = $3.75 AUD
- Large: 17cm x 12cm = $4.95 AUD
Pricing for PlannerKate Stickers:
- Large sticker sheets are approx. 14cm wide x 21.5cm high = $4.50 USD / $6.85 AUD
Winner: KHD Stickers

Cost of the Stickers & Shipping Cost
The number of stickers and sticker sheet sizes vary.
For 13 sticker sheets and 2 washi tapes from Planner Kate I paid $71.63 USD / $109 AUD back in November 2021. I had to pay $13.95USD / $21AUD international shipping.
For 22 sticker sheets from KHDStickers I paid $96.55 AUD (in 2024) and nothing for shipping (she offers free shipping over $55 AUD otherwise $4.95 flat rate shipping). Note KHDStickers is located in Australia like I am.
Winner: For me, KHD Stickers, but I know not all of my readers live in Australia so I’ll call this one a tie.
It’s also worth noting that it depends on the type of sticker you’re looking for. The themed sticker kits can be more expensive than an entire sheet of the same design repeated (which is faster to make and might be entirely in black ink, not rainbow colors, so costs less to create). Planner Kate crams more stickers onto the sheet that KHD Stickers.
Processing Time
I ordered stickers from both places during Black Friday sales. They each took about a week before I got a shipping notification.

So which sticker shop do I prefer?
I can’t decide! I like both. Both offer a great color range, huge range of designs including functional stickers like my favorites (checkboxes, list labels and number / date covers). I like the clean and simple style of both brands, the choice of fonts and the rainbow color schemes.
