Poluma Dot Grid Notebook Review (Including Pen Test)

There are more and more dot grid notebooks becoming available nowadays. They seem to be getting cheaper too – the Poluma dot grid notebook costs less than $10!

There are 25 dots horizontal and 41 dots vertically.

Some notebooks can print the dots too close to the page making it awkward to write on / rule up pages. This one has a few millimetres space on all sides so you don’t have to worry about that.

However, there aren’t any page numbers.

Pen Testing

The paper quality isn’t the best but is to be expected given the cheap price of the notebook. Ballpoint and gel pens had the least ghosting.

  • Functional dot placement (none too close to the edge of the page)
  • Multiple cover colors to choose from

Cons of the Planner

  • No cover personalisation
  • No page numbers
  • No contents / index page
  • Only 1 ribbon bookmark

Would I use this planner?

Yes. You can never have too many dot grid notebooks! Since it doesn’t have numbered pages I’ll be using it for experimenting with weekly spread layouts.
