Horizontal is my favorite type of weekly planner. Most people seem to know of the Erin Condren Horizontal but there are so many more planners that offer horizontal weekly spreads. Here are some of my favorites! (And most are cheaper)
Alternatives to the Erin Condren Horizontal Weekly Planner
In no particular order…
1. Posy Paper
A planner company that caught my eye quite a while ago – simple design, minimalist, functional with a little bit of color. It reminds me of the style of Blue Sky Planners.
Saturday and Sunday have a really small planning space so this planner would be ideal as a work planner.
Quick Facts
- 6″ wide x 9″ high
- 12 month planner
- Metal spiral binding
- Various cover patterns to choose from
- Option to personalise the cover
- Clear plastic protective cover on front and back
- You choose the start month
- 2 page monthly calendar (Sunday start)
- 2 page weekly planner (Monday start)
- 5 notes pages at the back
- American and Canadian holidays
- 2 notes pages between each month
- Optional monthly laminated tabs ($8 extra)
- Pocket at the back
- 70 lb paper
Price: $20.00 USD + shipping (extra $8 for monthly tabs)
Since the company is in the USA (and I’m in Australia) I’ve been waiting for a sale to purchase as international shipping is quite expensive.
2. Limelife Planners
If someone asked me to list my top 10 favorite planner companies, Limelife Planners would make it to that list. So many functional weekly layouts to choose from, multiple cover designs, multiple page sizes, super smooth paper that is great to write on and overall just good quality planners. Plus you can download free printable samples of all of their layouts to trial a few before ordering one.

- Nice colors (and can choose from colorful or minimalist color scheme)
- Plenty of extras to choose from
No I’m not affiliated with the company, have never received a free planner from them nor am I being compensated for saying this. Just genuinely like this planner company!
A variation on the traditional horizontal weekly spread is their horizontal with notes layout which I use for pre-planning each week:
