If you’re interested in creating your own bullet journal spreads or are thinking about making a DIY planner, I assume one of the main reasons is being unable to find a weekly spread that works for you. There are plenty of generic horizontal and vertical weekly layouts with sections like to do, meals and habits, but here are some other sections you may want to include in your weekly spread.
I’ve also included some planners with unique weekly spreads later in the post, and some recommended planner supplies if you need to ‘hack’ a planner to make it work for you.

Recommended Supplies:
- Frixion erasable stamps are great for checklists and habit tracking, they’re not as inky as other stamps (like the Happy Planner)
- Frixion Erasable highlighters (the bright version only, the pastel colors are too washed out)
- Erasable pens
- Happy Planner checklist stamp (for the sidebar) – if you write small you can squeeze 2 lines of text per task
- Speedy stencils – mini monthly calendars can be used for habit or pomodoro trackers
- DIY planner stickers – especially text stickers
- Whiteout tape so you can change existing sections in a planner into any of the sections above
- Doodlebug washi tape – for dividing up one big blank sidebar into smaller sections, or to cover up existing sections on the page. I recommend this washi tape in particular, as it’s 8mm which is not a common washi tape size and is not too thin or too wide. It’s more expensive than other washi tapes but you get 12 colors for color coding, the tape has never frayed and the rolls seem to last forever
- Thin washi tape – If you want to divide the sidebar up into sections, thin washi tape (3mm) is the way to go. I did a list of my favorites in this post

If you don’t want to do bullet journaling, or make your own printables, or buy one of the planners I’ve listed above, then your last option is to use a company that will make a custom planner for you. The companies listed below do custom planners, but not everything on the weekly spread is customisable – unless you get an Agendio.
